Chapter 25 Berwick, PA

November 14, 2009

The monthly meeting was held at Knapp Lodge, 1337 Orange Street, Berwick, PA on Saturday, November 14th, 2009. President Denny Zdanavage called the meeting to order at 4:15 PM.

Members present were Jeff Killian, Gary O’Neal, Bruce Hinds, Roy Howell, Scott Kaufman, Mike Strong, Dennis Zdanavage and Bill Bolton.

President Denny Zdanavage read the opening prayer and all present recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes from September 12, 2009 were read and approved unanimously.

Old Business: None

New Business:

Brother Bob Goodman from the Hershey Brownstone Masonic Lodge requested we participate in their Shriner’s Children’s Hospital Charity Ride Saturday, September 18th 2010 from Hershey to Gettysburg. Consideration was tabled.

December 5th 2009 Salvation Army Soup Kitchen is co-sponsored with MMCI Chapter 25. Members are requested to gather Saturday morning at the Salvation Army, 320 West Second Street, Berwick, PA at 9:00 AM. We have agreed to supply Chicken Soup, Hot Dogs and Sauer Kraut. Denny and Marci will contact members to bring items.

The Salvation Army sent a letter thanking all participants in the Soup Kitchen Benefit Activities.

The Salvation Army has requested our support for 2010. Meeting participants unanimously agreed to support the program in 2010 and Denny Zdanavage will request the date of December 4th.

Gary O’Neal discussed the Masonic Motorcycle Club International Convention in Winchester Virginia, at the Quality Inn August 3rd through August 6th. He is a member of the Planning Committee and suggested Chapter 25 participates in planning and previewing the various motorcycle rides.

The Masonic Motorcycle International Convention in 2011 is scheduled for Red Wing, MN.

The next meeting of Chapter 25 will be held Saturday, December 12th at 4:00 PM at Knapp Lodge.

The Saturday, January 9th 2010 pot luck supper Annual Meeting for the election of Officers will also include discussion of changing collection of dues from a fiscal year basis to a calendar year basis and a proposal to revise the Chapter’s by-laws.

On motion of Bruce Hinds, seconded by Roy Howell, unanimously approved, the meeting was adjourned at 5:00 PM.
