Chapter # 25 Berwick , PA
April 12th , 2008
The Regular monthly meeting was held on this date at Knapp Lodge 1337 Orange Street , Berwick , PA. Meeting was called to order at 4:15 PM by President Denny Zdanavage .
Opening Prayer was given by Chaplin Bob Pearse and the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of our country was given by all .
Members present were : Denny & Marcy Zdanavage , Boyd Casterline , Bruce & Donna Hinds , Gary & Sandy O’Neal , Bob Pearse , Randy Headdings , Roy Howell , John & Danni Fogg , Scott Kaufman , Garrette Campbell , and Tom Martz .
Guest : Tony Osolnick and John Fogg Jr.
Old Business : Chapter # 38 is doing the PA grand Lodge CHIP program at the Allenwood Prison on May 14th from 2:00 PM till 7:00 PM and anyone willing to help can either show up there or contact Gary for more info . Chapter #25 does have a web site up and running . Best way to view it is go to the International web site www.masonicmotorcycleclub.org and click on Chapter #25 Berwick, PA . A list of the name tags are being prepared to get sent out , and we should have them soon .
New Business : John had an idea for a fund raiser . He suggested we have a flea market or yard sale . Denny appointed John , Bruce and Boyd to research this and get back to us on the details in the fall .
Presidents Report : Denny said he was sorry he couldn’t make the last meeting , but he had to work . He also informed us about the fund raising ride for the Boy Scouts . This will be on April 27th,2008 It’s a great ride for a good cause .
. Vice Presidents report : The Blue Knights MC club has a ride leaving from the Petro up on I-81 on May 17th . Boyd also said he had tickets for the bike give away for Rolling Thunder .
Sec. / Treas Report : Check book and bank statement balance and are always open for inspection . Ticket sales went very well and we are in good shape again . Thank everyone for selling and getting their money and tickets in before the drawing tonight .
Road Cap. Report : After much discussion we came up with a list of rides
April 20th --- Meet at Knapp Lodge 1:00 PM a fun Mystery ride
May 17th--- Meet at Knapp Lodge 9:00 AM ride south to Herndon fire Co. meet up with our southern members . Leave there about 10:30 AM for a ride to Ft Indiantown Gap National cemetery and the PA Veterans Memorial
June 7th--- Leave Knapp Lodge 10:00 AM for Chapter # 38’s ride honoring Sean Thomas . Ride leaves at noon from the Muncy American Legion .
July 13th --- Leave Knapp Lodge at 10:00 AM for a ride thru the Pocono’s with a stop in Hamlin , PA at the open pit BBQ .
August 7th --- Leave Berwick , PA at 8:00 AM for The Ohio MMCI convention .
These are the rides as of this date if any more come up the members will be notified via e-mail and they will also be posted on the Chapter web site.
Remember guest are always welcome on our rides .
Applications for membership : Anthony R. Osolnick requested membership in our Chapter and was accepted . Welcome Tony .
Good of the Order : The drawing for our fund raiser was April 12th . Sandy P. sold the big winner , Danni sold the 2nd place winner , Scott sold 3rd place winner to his brother and Roy sold the 4th place winner . Chapter # 38 has fund raiser ride for the family of Sean Thomas who was KIA in Iraq . The date for the ride is June 7th . Keep this date open and lets support our Brothers . We will be going as a group .
Dues are $15.00 and due by June 1st . Please don’t make the Sec hunt you down . Don Bohl , Denny Kline and Mike Stong all sent extra money for the good of our Chapter and we thank you very much .
We will be going to Bandits Road House for dinner after the meeting .
Next Meeting will be September 13th at Knapp Lodge 4:00 PM unless something comes up and the President needs to call a special meeting .
